Ruche's winter lookbook is up and everything is so gorgeous, but this particularly appeals to me. I'm loving the whole look, especially the cream over the knee socks by Betsey Johnson. Of course it figures that it would be out of stock! I've asked to be notified once they've restocked, though, so hopefully they will be mine.

They remind me somehow of the Marks and Spencer socks I used to wear in high school. Does anyone else remember those white socks with the patterned holes?

For my Vancouver friends

I miss Vancouver and the delicious food and my friends and family, but when I see the weather report for the next week, which also looked this way for the previous week, I'm grateful I'm in sunny Western Mass:

These are not Uggs

No, these are not Uggs. I resisted for the longest time, really, but finally gave in when I saw these FitFlop Mukluk Boots. I wear them with the cuffs turned up and they are absolutely the comfiest softest walking boots I've ever worn. I wore them all throughout my DC trip last week and my feet did not hurt at all. For that alone, I am willing to wear these not very fashionable boots. And if they really do help tone your legs, that's just an added bonus.
