More falling snow

This is what greeted me this morning. We definitely didn't get this much snow last year!  Luckily, DH was able to come home early -- for more shoveling!  He's snowblowing about 6 hours worth of snowfall.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

That's DH in our shoveled driveway (yes, trust me, that was shoveled a few hours before the photo was taken, on DH's way to work), back early from work, when office hours were finally cancelled.  Compared to the last time snow was forecast for our area, this was a real doozy!  He's actually pointing to how much snow has accumulated over by our neighbor's location.  See?

It stopped snowing a few days ago, but it's still so cold outside that the snow hasn't melted yet.

This is what our backyard looks like from the back door in the eating area.  You didn't think I was actually going to go out into the cold, right? :)   With the forecast 12-18 inches of snow, I'm glad this is all we got.  Poor DH still had to use the snowblower twice last night and once this morning before going to work, but on the whole, it's not as bad as we expected.  We didn't get our White Christmas, but we got a White Boxing Day instead.

And this is what our poor postman had to trudge through today to get our mail to us.  We appreciate it, Mr. Postman!  As for me, I'm staying home.  All errands can be postponed until tomorrow, I say!
